I published an op-ed in Rue89 Lyon on the French intelligence bill, at a time when the text was dividing the left and raising fundamental questions about the balance between national security and civil liberties.
The article sets out the arguments that, had I been a member of parliament, would have led me to vote against: risk of mass surveillance, insufficient judicial safeguards, weak parliamentary oversight, and a dangerous precedent for digital freedoms.
