Energy and geopolitics are treated as expert territory. My work is to make them readable and usable: in front of students, for a newsroom on deadline, or for an executive team that has to decide.
That reading comes from practice first: eighteen years in renewable electricity, twelve years in elected office in the City and then the Metropolitan area of Lyon. Markets, grids, public decision-making, I practised them before teaching them.
An associate fellow at the Fondation Jean-Jaurès, I publish in the press and specialised journals, in France and abroad: from Le Monde to the Taipei Times, from La Revue de l'Énergie to the Cameroonian press. What I write about: African power systems, oil geopolitics, Taiwan's energy sovereignty, city diplomacy.
I have taught since 2010, in business schools, universities and executive education: around ten institutions, some 180 hours a year, in French, English and Spanish. The institutions are listed below; the courses change from one year to the next.
This perspective was built in the field as much as in the classroom: Cameroon, Cambodia, Ukraine, Taiwan. In July 2026, a mission on the reform of a Central African state's power sector, followed by a lecture at an international relations institute in the region.
Two official missions to Taiwan at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2019 and 2025), and a listing as an expert with the African Development Bank since 2025, extend that fieldwork.
I run these in parallel because they answer one another. What you see in the field ends up in a lecture, then in an article. And the article usually makes you want to go back.
